For the 2001 Eurovision Song Contest, the UK entered « No Dream Impossible« , performed by Lindsay D. It received 28 points and 15th place.

National final

The UK semi-final was held on BBC Radio 2 on 26 January, hosted by Terry Wogan and Ken Bruce. The top 4 songs were chosen by televoting. Although the voting results are unknown, it is rumoured that Tony Moore won. The final was held at the BBC TV Studios in London on 11 March, hosted by Katy Hill, with the winner being chosen by televoting.
